Description
This painting represents (Galangamirr), which is the Dugong, the moon and the star is called (Nalindi) (Djurrpun) the seaweed is called (Gumada), which is the dugong food. The leaves are called (Manjtarr), which is a leaf from the mangrove tree.
The thick sticks are seeds from the mangrove called (Djapinpu). Fine lines throughout the background in many directions is the ever-changing fast current.
Yellow, red and black triangle pattern down the dugong sides indicates the clan (Gandanu) the Moiety (Yirritja) to which this totem belongs.
